I spent my childhood in Fleckers until my soppy parents decided to emigrate to america. bummer huh. i just wanted to say hi to all my mates and family I LOVE U ALL

12:17pm 10-09-2006 Ann Hunt: Hi Fleckney people,We lived in Fleckney for 33yrs before moving here to the costa del sol.
In the time we lived in fleckney we had two transport conpanies, Hunts transport owned by my father in law Hugh and Midland express transport,some of you will remember us no doubt one way or another.
I used to be the mad lady always with hundreds of other peoples children in tow !!
We now have a successful Villa rental and bed & breakfast bussiness here in Spain.
I do miss Fleckney sometimes, but not when i am either in the swimming pool or the hot tub in glorious sunshine and no cars or lorries to disturb me!!!!
We would love to hear from any of you Flecktonions out there as we do when all said and done miss you .

2:33pm 07-25-2006 Chris MacInnes: I was spent most of my childhood in Fleckney although I left the village to join the royal navy when I was a teenager. I wandered if any one in the area would be interested in a support group which my wife and I have set up.
It is a group for couples in which one partner is British and the other partner is from a different culture of ethnic back ground. To this end we have made a web page. Our belief is that these couples have a lot in common. Females from ethnic minorities may live an extra alienation due to the fact that their husbands or partners are from a British or an EU background. These couples may find it hard building up friendship with other ordinary couples who would not necessarily understand or sympathise with their relatively unusual union.
