Comments: My parents used to live in Manor road in the village, in fact, I have a few relations that still live there. Mr. & Mrs. Doug Norman, and my brother Duane. My father's funeral was held at the Fleckney church many years ago, which holds the village in my heart. After being stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army in 1981, I visited your village for the first time a couple of years later. I remember the duck pond that I passed from manor road on the way to the working mens club, I remember a gentleman in the WMC by the name of Bill, who I later learned has passed away, the shield, the crown, and at the end of the road towards Leicester, a flower shop on the left hand side. My mother Pam, is here in Los Angeles at the moment, and it is scorching hot. We don't get fish and chips here like the one's being sold at the shop accross from the crown, we found you guy's on the internet. God bless Fleckney, and I hope to meet the person who established this website in the next few years.

Comments: As an deployed Marine, I was honoured to receive an e-mail of well wishing from one of your own. Decided to check out their "home town" on the net. Excellent site and I'm especially intrigued by the guest book. Fleckney sounds much like my home town of Yankton (yes, that's really the name), a quaint little town which everyone seems in a hurry to leave. Once they do, they're in a hurry to get back. Best wishes to all of you. Any Bevers in the area?

Comments: I am moving back to Leicestershire after living in London and Tring for 6 years. I've missed the County and am looking forward to returning home. My wife and I are planning to buy a house on the Main Street. Amazingly enough, some of my family were born in Fleckney (surname HULL) and also lived on the Main Street. I also have relatives of a close family friend who passed away a few years back (surname Brown). It's a great village with many friendly people.

Comments: I believe an ancestor came from Fleckney amd I Wondered if a name is recognized in local history. The name is Earp married to a Kington about 1847. Your villages are still enchanting as in the British Novels I read.
John Earp and Amelia are the parents.
Is there a local Archives that I can visit via Internet. Thank You
