Comments: I've only been truly enchanted by two things in this life. One is the wonder of the universe, and the other is Fleckney. The stroll around the duck pond with Mallards swimming freely the awesome Tapestry and the Lamp Lighters which glow against the night sky.

Comments: I stumbled across this great site and I like what I read! Can this all be true of one English village? I own a travelling shop. Would I be welcome in Fleckney?

Comments: I concurr with Mr Amos - Fleckney is a great place. So much to see and do, interesting places to eat, I particulary recommend the Chinese opposite the pond - they do a lovely crispy duck.

Comments: Ah ... the wonders of Fleckney. Many are the hours I've whiled away down at the duck pond with my Fleckney chums. Cant wait to visit again, perhaps with a visit to the world famous Shield pub to sample some more wild otter.Great site and wonderful village.

Comments: this is a most informative site. however, there seems to be information about cheese cutters which is lacking. i personally prefer the marble based variety and would appreciate it if some pictures were included in the website. thank you.

Comments: I am coming to teach at your local primary school in January and I am looking forward to it very much.I am sorry but I don't have an Australian accent(traces of Scots)but some of my slang will sound strange to your ears. I hope to live in the village and become part of the local community albeit temporary.

Comments: I know about Fleckney now that I found your excellent web site. My main reason for contacting you is that I found a baloon with Fleckney Band Balloon race ticket no 168. This was on Saturday 1st September in Station Road Ailsworth. I hope this came from your village.
